Zolo Classic Fincas Patagónicas Malbec 2010, Mendoza, Argentina: Vintages Wine Panel: Delicious Malbec. Look for aromas and flavours of mixed berries, plum, coffee bean and woodsmoke. Dry and quite tasty. Intriguing layers of complexity lead to a ripe, fruity finish. My note: Top me up! Some of this up-and-coming region’s vineyards are planted at the highest elevations in the world for viticulture. This juicy wine is bursting with blackberry and other ripe dark fruits, balanced by toasty oak, ripe acidity and friendly tannins. Should drink well over the next 3 years. My note: Especially gorgeous for the price: this has to be an inventory pricing error! This is my new party wine. Wow. Alamos The Wines Of Catena Torrontés 2012, Salta, Argentina: Pretty and floral with very pleasant lime blossom aromas. Medium-bodied and ultra food-friendly. Such an aromatic and characterful wine. It reminds me of some of my favourite supporting actors, which don't always have their name at the top of the marquee, but nonetheless put in a memorable performance. Torrontés is the signature white wine of Argentina. This one especially is a terrific one to try if you haven't done so yet. Great value. This is a wonderful interpretation of peachy-floral splendor. Ignore the price as it’ll bias you because it’s so low.  Torrontés is truly Argentina’s benchmark white wine: such a unique signature. Trivento Concha Y Toro Reserve Syrah Malbec 2012, Mendoza, Argentina: Deep, dark and rich, this brooding blend of Malbec (50%) and Syrah (50%) has dive-into-it aromas of blackberries, coffee, dark chocolate and smoke. The wine was aged for 8 months in French oak. Full-bodied but not heavy, wonderful concentration of flavour.
