A lovely, sunlit wine with attractive aromas of ripe peach and pear. The moderate sweetness is perfectly balanced with refreshing acidity so this wine will be divine with Asian and spicy dishes as well as those with some sweetness like glazed ham.

Pinot Gris food pairings: chicken and noodles in a light Thai peanut sauce, pan-seared scallops in garlic and butter.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

It's not often you hear about Pinot Gris coming out of Alsace, but this was a delightful surprise. Crisp with citrus and tropical notes, and a tinge of sweetness at the end that will have you reaching for the bottle for a second glass. I had this wine at a tasting but I definitely want to try it with some spicy food.
Lovely, layered, dynamic Pinot Gris with fresh white peach, apricot, honeysuckle, lemon meringue and grapefruit zest aromas. Ripe and flavourful, with the measured sweetness on the palate nicely offset by bright acidity. Culminates in a cleansing, tangy finish that shows a pleasant touch of citrus-peel bitterness. Very smooth texture throughout. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Nov. 2012
