A crisp, clean, refreshing wine that will cut through the richness of a cream sauce or soft cheese like a knife. This is your wine when you don't want heavy oak or alcohol, just pure refreshment. Notes of lime, grapefruit and lemon zest. Top me up!

Pinot Grigio food pairings: soft cheeses, pasta in cream sauce, seafood, salads.

Reviews and Ratings

Mark Britton rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is a simple, summer wine in the classic Italian Pinot Grigio style. Dry with nice acidity and obvious lemon notes. Good value at $12.95.
The 2009 Gabbiano Pinot Grigio is straw-yellow with pale green edges in color. The nose is filled with notes of citrus and tropical fruit layered with subtle floral nuances. The palate echos the nose with bright and fresh tropical fruit flavors that lead to a crisp acidity on the long refreshing finish.
