A round, plummy, medium-bodied blend of zinfandel, merlot and syrah grapes that delivers plenty of pleasure. Some mocha notes and a generous, mouth-filling smooth texture. Yum!

Absolute favorite! This wine has an amazing robust flavor that brings excitement to the palate. Love this wine!!
Aaron Waldman rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

This is phenomenal!! The price says "table wine - don't expect much", but it's a big, fruity, complex red. I'd describe it as a merlot with more breadth and depth.
And the kicker is that the stores have it for $9.99, and now Costco for $7.99.
Christopher Sheehan rated this wine as 92/100

I love the blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, and Merlot in this wine. It's one we always keep in our wine rack. Big and bold, smooth & intense. Delicious with a burger!

This is one of my favorite wines at the moment. It is a big and bold wine from the perfect blend of zinfandel, merlot, syrah and cabernert. It will for sure appeal to the masses.

APOTHIC RED - A very nice blend from California. Beautiful aromas of spice, raspberry, blackberry and a hint of vanilla. Medium bodied wine with a long finish of fruit and vanilla. 88/100 - tasted September 14, 2013
Stan rated this wine as 87/100
Sara M - WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100
Donna Hargrove rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Full bodied favourite for sipping or with charcuterie / appetizers. A tad on the sweet side, so pairs well with spicy cheeses and meats.
Travis Oke rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

There has been much hoopla about this wine so I thought I would give it a go. I'm afraid that it may be the expensive American equivalent of Yellow Tail and Fuzion combined. I see why it appeals to the masses - it''s very sweet but certainly non-offensive. And isn't that the winning marketing strategy. I would think that they could come up with a clever name and label - like surfers chasing penguins or something.
Danica rated this wine as 60/100
The 2009 Apothic Red reveals intense fruit aromas and flavors of rhubarb and black cherry that are complemented by hints of mocha and vanilla. The plush, velvety mouthfeel and smooth finish round out this intriguing, full-bodied red blend.
