Juicy and lovely! Smooth and medium-bodied, packed with cherry-berry and earthy notes. Terrific mouth-watering character for food. This is my kinda pinot. Yum!

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal medallions, beef-and-mushroom kebabs.

Reviews and Ratings

Graeme Tindale rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Very thin - OK. Probably could spend my money more wisely.
Beverly Crandon rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

On colour, this 2007, German Pinot Noir is a light garnet red, indicative of its now perfect drinking age. On the nose, a bouquet of dark fruits is present. You’ll nose, plum, black berries and dark cherry. On the palate, you’ll get the traditional light, and smooth mouth feel of a natural Pinot Noir, but Schloss Reinhartshausen’s Dry Pinot Noir comes with only a slight flavour character. It’s refined tannic nature, however, helps in producing a medium to long finish that is not invasive.
At 5 years old, this is nearing its peak maturity. Shows classic Pinot aromas of earthy autumn leaves, black cherry and plum along with a touch of almond paste. Dry, medium bodied with bold flavours of ripe black cherry, black raspberry, spicy clove and rhubarb as well as some earthy flavours on the finish. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
