Outstanding wine for the money! Cassis and cedar with full-bodied richness. This wine is named after the river that divides it in half. The region of Aconcagua in Chile is extremely hot and dry, ideal for ripening rich, full-bodied red wines. It's supple and layered on the palate, like liquid velvet. I'd drink this wine with hearty meat dishes.

Carmenere food pairings: pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

As one of Chile’s hottest and driest regions, Aconcagua has a well earned reputation for producing superb red wines. Nice concentration of aromas and flavours here, with lots of red berry and earthy tones. The finish is quite long and spicy with a nice apple-cider composition.
