Outstanding wine for the money! Produced by San Esteban, this robust Chilean red wine comes from the winery's Winemakers Selection. It offers aromas of cassis and cedar with full-bodied richness. This wine is named after the river that divides it in half. The region of Aconcagua in Chile is extremely warm and dry, ideal for ripening rich, full-bodied red wines. It's supple and layered on the palate, like liquid velvet. I'd drink this wine with hearty meat dishes.

Carmenere food pairings: pork tenderloin.

Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Pleasantly surprised by the fruity nose…
Presentation: I really like the label. I like the colours, the font, and the red dots that make it look like a tuxedo.
Appearance: Medium ruby
Nose: Fruity (blackberries, passion fruit, blueberries), green peppers, white pepper, and a touch of flowers in the back
Taste: Sour cherries, leather, green peppers.
Finish: leather, pepper.
Overall impression: An easy, fruit forward wine with some complexity in the back. Would be good with a variety of cheeses, red meats and pastas. Would definitely try this wine again.
Value: 4 out of 5
