A very sensual experience! Rich and fresh at the same time. Gorgeous and complex nose, full of ripe dark fruits, dired herbs and leather. The mouth is so tasty! Feels like you're snuggling in a cashmere wrap in front of a fireplace. Pairs with earthy casserole or braised meat. Or mushroom stew.

The nose is absolutely charmaing with its hints of red cherries and sweet spices. It's a fruity wine with a certain body but very refrehing at the same time. I would cellar it for a couple of years to add to its complexity. But rigth now it's super nice, like having a pearl on the tongue. It would pair well with duck confit or the famous Thanksgiving turkey.

Wow, this wine has a lot to say in the glass! Both the colour and the nose are a bit more intense than the Don David Reserve. You get a good expression of the varietal on the nose. There is a nice combination of leafyness (i hope it's a word!) and eathy tones. The mouthfeel is quite velvety. It is tannic but with smooth tannins. Dark fruits jam and oaky features are also part of the charm of this wine. Long finale part tannins, part freshness, and a hint of paprika. Begs for grilled meats...or portobello burgers. Make sure to let it open in your glass or in a carafe for a good 30-45 minutes, or try to forget it a couple of years in your cellar :)

This Bourgogne Aligoté 2018,was a nice surprise. I really like the soft bouquet of wild white flowers, pear and the hint of white pepper. The mouthfeel is soft and delicate, but very well defined at the same time. It's not a once quaffed, already forgotten kinf of wine. The sligthly salty finish makes it super food-friendly.

As my esteemed collegues noted, this is not a typical aromatic sauvignon blanc. Not much of the expected green notes on the nose. It is lightly fruity and has a soft acidity and some structure, thanks to the vilana. All in all, a nice patio wine, for reading a good book, under the parasol, with a gentle spring breeze blowing romantic whiffs from that bed of thrush by the fence.
