A terrific, full-bodied red wine at an staggeringly great price! This is a DOCA wine and is produced by Bodegas Y Vinedos Ilurce. Loaded with fleshy dark fruit, mouth-watering action and layers of lip-smacking flavours. this wine was matured in French oak. Lovely!

Reviews and Ratings

Alain Charpentier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Pairing suggestions: steak with Montreal spices, turkey with cranberry sauce,
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

91pts Wine Advocate. It exhibits slightly riper blackberry fruit intermixed with notions of licorice, wood smoke, camphor and a vivid floral display. These cuvees are aged in French oak prior to bottling. Both should drink well for 2-5 years.

Made from 100% Graciano, a native grape that is now experiencing a renaissance and is highly valued by modern Rioja winemakers both as an important flavour component in blends and for its excellence as a single varietal. Source: Vintage Wine Panel, undated.
