Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Taste of Ontario 2019 @ Ottawa: Medium ruby colour, dry, and medium plus acidity. Definite earthy and pepper aroma with bright red fruit. Tastes are of red fruit, earthiness, pepper accompanied by a pleasing tang. This would be very nice with braised beef and mushrooms; heavy on the mushrooms!
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Elegant and balanced, crafted from 100% PEC fruit. Shows lots of red plums, cherries, earth, with mocha, white pepper and characterisitic County minerality. Taught and well-structured, with excellent acidity. Look for it in Vintages in Sept. 2019

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A lovely Burgundian expression of Pinot. Raspberry, morello cherry, white pepper, crushed stone and a faint note of beetroot make this a perfect pairing for duck. 91 Points.
Closson Chase, Closson Chase Vineyard 2016 is a medium-bodied, vibrant and smooth Pinot Noir with earthy violets, ripe cherry flavours and a lingering spicy finish. Pair with grilled lamb chops. - Community Wine Reviews
