Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Just a beautiful Pinot Noir, with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, sous bois, evergreen, and a touch of warm spice. Medium bodied on the palate, with vibrant, bright acidity on the palate. Cherry and berry notes on the palate are vibrant and ripe, with a hint of fresh, tart fruit. Balancing out the fruit and slight vegetal notes, as well as a hint of minerality and a touch of a dried herbal note. Just lovely. Enjoy with grilled salmon.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Please be advised this wine is a wonderful ride.

In my glass, this Pinot Noir has a superb cast of characters. Layered expressions of ripe red cherries stand upfront and in the background are stunning accents reminiscent of nibs candy, tomato leaf, wood smoke, sweet cedar, and savoury herbs.

In the mouth, this medium bodied red is lush and pleasingly mouth coating. Velvety, low-key tannins and modest acidity round out the experience.

The standout for me, if I had to choose, is this liquid’s aroma flavour profile.

This delicious creation has been crafted from grapes grown in Closson Chase’s Churchside and South Clos estate vineyards. Closson Chase is located in Hillier, Ontario and their focus is Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and most recently Pinot Gris.
