A juicy and generous PEC Pinot Noir with lovely aromas of sour cherry and cranberry. Lots of acidity on the palate. Long finish.

Pinot Noir food pairings: mushroom and leek crostini, roast duck breast with cranberry.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A nice medium ruby with a garnet edge. The aromas are ripe raspberry, dried cranberry, with notes of earth and cedar. The taste is raspberry and tart cherry with some dried herb. Mouth-feel is very silky with just a hint of tannins. Medium raspberry and spice finish. Pair with turkey and stuffing.
For our reserve Pinot we were looking for classic earthy notes of sour cherry-cranberry, herbal tea leaves, and spice. Barrel selection gave us a style with fuller body, lots of intensity and excellent balance. Aged 24 months in seasoned oak to soften the acidity and develop complexity. As it ages the fruit will soften and the earthiness will come forward.

Fermented in stainless steel, 28-day primary fermentation for extended maceration. Aged 24 months in neutral French oak barriques prior to bottling.
