Lynn Van Der Linde rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Brilliant Pinot Noir! 2015 was an intense year for grape growers in Prince Edward County, with a late spring frost killing 90 percent of the buds, however the grapes that did come were amazing, especially this Pinot Noir. Aromas of cherry, beet root, and leather with some floral undertones that carry through on the palate to a persistent spicy finish. Enjoy now, or cellar for 5-7 more years. Tasted Sept 2017.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Fortunately for the Grange Winery and others in Prince Edward County - 2015 ended with a hot harvest. Earlier in May most wineries lost a significant portion of their crops due to frost. This is the way I love a Pinot - aromas of smoke, earth, beetroot and ripe cherry. Smooth drinking with light tannins and just the right amount of acidity. Flavours of cherry and raspberry with a long finish. A great match for your Thanksgiving turkey dinner! Tasted October 2017.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Bright red cherry, beet, dried red flowers and a hint of herb. Zippy and perfect with duck breast. 91 points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Medium-light ruby colour with bright red highlights. Aroma of a bowl of fresh strawberries, red cherries, and wet graphite. Light and soft tannins with juicy balanced acidity. Elegant taste of sour cherries with medium length finish and a lingering juicy acidity. Score 90. (S.Segard, reviewed Nov. 19, 2017)
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review: Pale ruby colour, with aromas of bright red fruit. Perfumed with strawberry, ripe raspberry, red cherry and a hint of licorice and earth. Flavours are echoed with tart strawberry, underripe raspberry and bing cherry. Some heat also present. On the palate also a fair bit of floral flavours too. High acidity, light body with a tart puckery mouthfeel. Pair with light meats, and fruity summer salads. 86 points - Tasted November 2017
Dan Carkner reviewed this wine as follows: Cinnamon spiced cherry compote, ripe raspberry, and some earth are forefront on the nose that evolves with time. Nice roasted beets and star anise just joined the party. The body is light, tannins are grippy but fine, and the acidity is mouthwatering. The earthy beets dominate the palate with jammed berries pulling their weight. Lighter food would be necessary to match the light body. This might be best with aged cheddar and charcuterie.
