Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep purple, dry, medium acid and tannin levels and full of ripe fruit . Lots of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry aromas and tastes. A nice wine to drink now; I decanted it for an hour in advance.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An extra-dry rustic-style showing plum, tart cherries, oak and smoke with chewy tannins.
Tasted May 2017
Château Hauchat (2014) is a great value, rustic Bordeaux from Fronsac in the Bordeaux wine region. Tannic, but juicy and full-bodied, this wine produced by La Famille Saby, needs to be decanted a few hours prior to serving. Fronsac is a satellite appellation situated on the Right Bank. The wine blend is typically Merlot dominant with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. - Community Wine Reviews
