Produced by Joseph J. Wagner, this is one of the four, single-vineyard Pinot Noirs produced by Wagner, this one from The Clark & Telephone Vineyard planted in 1972. The vineyard is about 20 kilometres from the Pacific ocean in the Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County AVA in California. It is a dry, medium-plus-bodied Pinot Noir with ripe black cherry, anise, chocolate, savoury herb and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are velvety. Nicely done!

Pinot Noir food pairings: salmon steaks, pork, spaghetti Bolognese, veal, roast beef.

Reviews and Ratings

From Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County, California, Belle Glos' Clark & Telephone Vineyard 2016 is dark ruby in the glass with a pronounced nose of ripe dark raspberries, cherries, light herbs and sweet cake spice. ON the palate, more ripe dark cherries, licorice, mocha and sweet spice flavours. Just another lovely Pinot Noir produced by Joseph J. Wagner produces this Californian red wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. Joe Wagner produces four single-vineyard Pinot Noirs from four Californian appellations. Changes in sunlight hours, rain, climate, fog and elevations results in four distinct styles for the four vineyards: Dairyman, Las Alturas, Taylor Lane and Clark & Telephone which was planted in 1972. - Community Wine Reviews
