Christian Moueix 2011, Pomerol, Bordeaux A.C., France: Dry, classic Bordeaux with a blackberry, cigar box nose. A lovely, long finish with a savoury, smoky note. It's got a hefty grip on the palate so decant for 1-2 hours. This wine will also do well in the cellar for another 3-4 years. Enjoy it with filet mignon. This blend leads with Merlot from the right-bank of Bordeaux, although Cabernet plays a strong supporting role. Drink: 2013-2017. 903013 12.50% XD 750 mL $33.95 Score: 90/100. May 2, 2015

Elegant and juicy on the palate with layers of dark ripe cherries, blackberry, underbrush, spiced plum, sweet dried tobacco leaf long and smoky on the palate.
