From Lussac-Saint-Émilion in the Bordeaux wine region, Chateau Des Landes Cuvee Prestige (2014) is a full-bodied red from old vines Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The nose is rich red berries, dark cherries, blackberry and spice, but the wine could cellar for about five years to show its best on the palate. A full-bodied red wine with grippy tannins and aromas and flavours along with smoky black fruit. Decant 2 hours. This is an AC wine.

Food pairings: Tourtière, roast beef, turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Château Des Landes Cuvée Prestige 2014 is a full-bodied red Bordeaux blend from old vines Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from the Lussac-Saint-Émilion appellation. A concentration of dark brambly fruit and spice are up front and the wine could benefit from some time in cellar. If pouring now, decant for two hours prior to serving with a grilled rib eye steak done rare. Better to cellar for another three to five years when this potential beauty has had an opportunity to evolve into a better sum of its parts. - Community Wine Reviews
