Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha 2010

Dianne scored this wine: 93/100

I brought this wine out of my cellar. Decant for 2 hours and enjoy! The grapes for this wine were harvested from old-vine Garnacha vineyards that cling to rugged terrain on the slopes of the famous Moncayo Mountain with low yields of less than 2 t/acre. It is 100% Garnacha, aged in stainless steel and French oak. Very jammy, full bodied, ripe blackcherry, blackberries, herbs, chocolate. Very smooth. Long ripe blackberry finish. Pair with a maple marinaded salmon fillet . Reviewed: March 2017.

This lovely Sparkling Rose from Peller Estates is just divine. It is made in the traditional "methode" with hand picked Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay Noir grapes. Vidal Icewine is added for the finishing touch. This dry sparkling wine is clean, crisp with hints of yeast, raspberry and strawberry. It has a creamy mouthfeel with fine, vibrant bubbles. A beautifully crafted sparkling wine Pair with soft creamy cheeses, chicken, salmon.

This Chianti Classico Reserva is aged in oak barrels for 24-36 months. It is 95% Sangiovese with 5% Caniolo, used to soften the tannins of the Sangiovese while adding more fruitiness to the wine. It is a more traditional style Chianti. On the nose it has black cherry, floral notes (violets), mocha, cinnamon and tobacco. It is dry, medium bodied with a long, lingering black cherry, mocha finish. Can be aged a few more years to round out the tannins, depth and character of the wine. Pair with game dishes.
