A Bordeaux style wine made in the Napa Valley. A project by Christian Moueix of Petrus in Pomerol.
On the nose, blackcurrent, spice, pepper, licorice, vanilla, chocolate. Medium to full bodied with a long, complex, blackberry jammy finish. Firm, well rounded tannins, well balanced and very smooth.
You will want to decant this wine for about an hour. It would go well with beef stew, steak or simply enjoy on its own on a snowy day in front of a roaring fire!
