Strewn Winery Cabernet Franc Icewine 2013

Four Milke Creek, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada

Malcolm scored this wine: 95/100

It has been observed that Icewine ages rather quickly, but I find this 2013 Strewn red Icewine to be evolving beautifully, and may continue to do so for 5-8 years in a good cellar! Still lots of red fruit (strawberry, rhubarb), and a nice tertiary (developing aroma) characteristics of dried leaf, caramel and leather. Bravo Strewn!

Strewn Winery Terroir Sauvignon Blanc 2018

A unique expression of Sauvignon Blanc coming from Ontario's Strewn winery. There is some vegetative character in the form of asparagus, and lemony/passionfruit mix on the palate. Pair with goat cheese salad, and enjoy!

Speck Family Reserve

Henry of Pelham Speck Family Reserve Chardonnay 2018

Short Hills Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada

Malcolm scored this wine: 95/100

What a wine! This wine from Niagara plays the line between ripe fullness in body and flavour, and elegance and fresh acidity (which incidentally gives rise to more flavour complexity) perfectly. This is such a great style, and would suit any Cool Climate Chardonnay lover. ABC - Another bottle of Chardonnay, please!

Slow Press Chardonnay 2017

Monterey County, California, United States

A lovely Chardonnay, with good "typicity" (wine speak for tastes like the style should) for a Monterey Chardonnay. This wine is high in the yumminess factor, and has a bitter, lingering finish.

Lillias

Westcott Vineyards Lillias Chardonnay 2017

Vinemount Ridge, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada

Malcolm scored this wine: 92/100

A lovely wine from a lovely family of growers and wine makers, the Westcott's. Pale lemon colour, and almost a chablisienne flintyness on the nose. Fuller on the palate, and possibly some older oak ageing which imparts less flavour. Lovely!
