This is a terrific Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon, especially for the price point! Mocha and dark chocolate aromas with black fruit. Chalky dry and full-bodied. Some black plum and berries on the finish. Great balance, with a deep red-garnet colour. Finishes with vanilla smoke.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hamburgers, steak, hearty meat dishes, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby colour this full bodied wine is rich with aromas and flavours of dark cherry, black plum, strawberry Twizzlers, vanilla, garrigue. Spirited acidity with structured tannins. Drinking nicely now but has potential to cellar 5 years if not more. Weighty red meats or hard cheeses. Decanting 1-2 hours makes it even more enjoyable.
Tasted: NOvember 22 2014
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Deep purple color with notes of bleuberry, cherry, plum, vanilla and licorice.

This wine is creamy, rich and full-bodied.

Try it with duck breast.

Serve it at 15-17 degrees.

ready to drink but can be aged 2-3 years.
The grapes are grown in one of the driest and warmest climates in Washington state, with sandy loam soil in the vineyards to create big, bold wines with bold structure. Decant 1 hour before serving with hearty meat dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
