This is a terrific Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon, especially for the price point! Mocha and dark chocolate aromas with black fruit. Chalky dry and full-bodied. Some black plum and berries on the finish. Great balance, with a deep red-garnet colour. Finishes with vanilla smoke.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rare Porterhouse steak, gourmet burgers, roast pork.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Bargain alert! This value-priced Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon hailing from the Wahluke Slope sub-appellation - Washington's warmest AVA. Pronounced opulent notes showcase red plum, jammy berries, anise, and eucalyptus backed by a delicious, sensual, silky smooth mouthfeel, ripe tannins, balanced acidity and a long plummy-anise finish. Enjoy this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled prime rib. Tasted April 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark plum colored. Cedar and flint on the nose. Full bodied with dark fruits on the palate but bordering on jammy. Chalky dry. Long finish. Would stand up to strong beef, lamb dishes..
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted May 5th 2017. Colour pink on the rim and black cherry red to the core. Good legs. Aroma of blackberry dark fruit and spice notes. Pleasing aroma. On the palate more blackberry, coffee grounds, black pepper and sweet tannin. An oak spice thing going on here nice mouth feel. Easy to drink and a good finish keeps you returning to the next sip. Sure to be a hit with Cabernet Sauvignon lovers. Good value and red meat food friendly. My Cabernet Sauvignon loving wife gave it a thumbs up.
This 2013, deep-red Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley is great value. Lots of ripe red berry and blackberry flavours on this wine with good acidity and great balance. Wine grapes for this Washington State red came from Wahluke Slope. The Seven Falls name is in honour of the falls that flowed into the Columbia River. - Community Wine Reviews
