Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2009 Sella & Mosca Riserva Cannonau Di Sardegna has intense aromas of dried cherry and wood on the nose and cranberry, red currant and dried cherry on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine; with forward acidity, refined tannins and a medium to long, woody finish. It is food friendly or can be enjoyed by itself; drink now – 2016+. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts. Tasted Nov/13.

Cannonau aka Grenache from Sardegna Italy. A transparent ruby core with notes of pepper, smoke, dried sour cherry, pollen and violet stem. Medium body, full tannin, extra dry balanced by structured acidity.

Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Sella & Mosca Cannonnau di Sardegna Riserva is a robust wine with aromas of ripe plum, wild berries, spices, tobacco, dried flowers. It displays a pronounced bouquet and a brilliant color. It is particularly suitable to accompany red meats and seasoned cheeses. Uncork at least one hour before serving at room temperature.
