From the Okanagan Valley wine region in British Columbia, Quails' Gate Stewart Family Reserve 2020 Chardonnay is vibrant with ripe apple, pear, buttered toast, smoky spices and showing flinty mineral notes silky-smooth and long on the palate. Grapes were whole-cluster pressed and fermented in new and previous-use French oak barrels for 11 months and was then left to age on its lees with some bâtonnage. Top-notch, generous and elegant, this gorgeous Chardonnay is textured with a subtle chalkiness and drinking beautifully now.

Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken salad or poached salmon with a caper butter sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Lori Sweet rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This beautiful white wine is fermented and aged in a combination of stainless-steel tanks and neutral French oak before being blended and bottled. This light straw-coloured wine offers aromas of lemon, fresh apple, and apricot, as well as subtle notes of fresh baked bread.

A clean, crisp, and refreshing sip will reveal a medium acidity with tastes of lemon and citrus fruits. Suggested pairings includes creamy seafood risotto, tangy salads, or lightly breaded whitefish.
