Quails' Gate Stewart Family 2016 Chardonnay is rich and mouth-filling with ripe golden apple, baked goods, nutty almond, lemon pudding, vanilla and smoky, toasty flavours silky smoooth on the palate, finishing oh soooo long. This Chardonnay is dry, elegant with refreshing acidity and can handle rich seafood dishes like lobster Thermidor but could go equally well with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken salad or poached salmon with a caper butter sauce, grilled cheese sandwiches.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Wow! Beautiful. Medium-bodied, lightly-oaked, great complexity. Superb mouthwatering acidity. Stone fruit, ripe apple, blanched almond, hint of nutmeg. Paired well with bbq shrimp kebabs. Tasted 2016 Stewart Family Reserve in May 2018. 93 points. Fantastic
