The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this full-bodied, generous Australian red wine were grown on the Coonawarra Terra Rossa "Cigar Strip" in the heart of the Coonawarra wine region in South Australia. Rich on the nose with fleshy ripe blackberry and black cherries with dark cherry, ripe dark berries, mint, sweet dried tobacco leaf and baking spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are structured. Pair with grilled red meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hamburgers , pulled pork, venison burgers, hard cheese, prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Abundant floral, red berry, cherry and herbal notes all emerge from the 2017 vintage of this cabernet sauvignon from Australia’s Coonwarra region. Adding to its appeal, this red showed beautiful structure on the palate and finish thanks to some smooth, medium plus tannins. However, don’t expect big oaky aromas and flavours from this cab even though it was matured in French oak for an undisclosed period of time. Enjoy.
