Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

All that a Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon should be with dark fruit, baking spices, hints of mint, chocolate, rum cake, and smoke this wine has supple, ripe tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is long, warming, and complex.
Drink now, or cellar until 2019.
Pair with finer cuts of beef and lamb, or savour on its own.
Date tasted: May 2014.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Cabernet Sauvignon is right at home in the terroir of Coonawarra. Limestone soils, cool ocean breezes, long sunny days.
Deep ruby colour rich in aromas of black fruit, mint, Xmas cake, brown sugar, cloves, smoke, charred meat, bakers chocolate.
Dried fruit(raisin, prune), liquid cherry, spearmint, After Eight chocolate(yum!).
Dry with Medium tannins and high acidity help to balance all the layers in this wine.
Decanting suggested.
Pair with Prime Rib steak on the BBQ, Roasted Rack Lamb,
Drink now through 2019
Tasted: May 2014
Dark chestnut hue with black kirsch on the nose and toasty oak and tarry black fruit on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
