A superbly well-made Niagara Riesling with juicy mouth-watering action for dishes from fresh seafood to roasted turkey. Notes of lime and lemon zest. Great price and value.

Riesling food pairings: smoked salmon and chive cream cheese on baguette, oyster hotpot, mild curries.

Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lively, just off-dry Riesling, crafted with the grapes grown at the estate’s oldest vineyards on the Short Hills Bench in Ontario’s Niagara. Fresh and fruity with crisp acidity. Bursting with aromas and flavours of white peaches, green apples and lime zest with a touch of minerality and petrol on the long, clean finish. Match this beautifully aromatic and flavorful Riesling with fondue, as the sweetness and acidity complement the nutty flavours of the cheese perfectly.
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This lovely, dry, Short Hills Bench Riesling offers aromas lemon, tangerine and slate. The palate reveals lemon, a hint of pineapple, green apple and some minerality. It has a crisp long finish and would pair well with scampi in a white sauce.

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A fantastic Ontario Reisling with aromas of pear, peach, while flowers and traces of line and petrol. Almost off-dry at 17g/l of sugar, but still crisp, carrying flavours of pear, peach, and apples. The mouth feel is smooth with a touch of slipperiness, and the pear and peach linger. A very food friendly wine pairing perfectly with roast chicken, pork, soft cheeses and more.
The Riesling grapes for this Niagara white wine hang on the winery's estate vineyard vines longer than those for the winery's non-Estate Riesling so that they ripen with deeper, more complex flavours. This is ready to drink now but will also age well for 5 years. - Community Wine Reviews
