Cave Spring, Cave Spring Vineyard 2021 Cabernet Franc is produced from 100% estate grown grapes sourced from a mix of clay, limestone, sandstone, shale and granitic soils from the Beamsville Bench wine region. Elegant, dry and full-bodied, the wine is rich with aromas of dark plum, crushed raspberry, cassis and savoury herbs, subtly spicy with a fresh minty finish.

Cabernet Franc food pairings: pasta with Bolognese sauce, mushroom risotto, coq au vin, roasted guinea hen or game birds, steak tartar, hearty beef stews.

Reviews and Ratings

From a warm vintage, Cave Spring Vineyard 2021 Cabernet Franc is produced from sustainably grown estate grapes sourced from the Beamsville Bench wine region. Showing ripe plum, raspberry, savoury herbs, pepper spice and dusty tannins it's just excellent value at $21. Elegant, dry and medium-plus-bodied with food-friendly acidity, enjoy it with lamb chops from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews
