Natalie's Score: 92/100 This winery is located south of Rioja and is comprised of 100% Garnacha grapes. The Garnacha grapes for this wine grow on old vines, which provides additional concentration and flavour. Great structure. Lots of mocha and dark chocolate aromas on the nose that are then flooded with lusciously ripe black fruit on the palate. Full-bodied and smooth. A rich darkly hued colour in the glass. A long, satisfying finish. Pair with grilled meats. The 2013 vintage of the Tres Picos offers solid value.

Full bodied, smooth and well balanced. Long berry, plum finish with a bit of sweetness at the end. Great value. Lovely with Blue cheese, aged cheddar.

With pronounced aromas of wood shavings and a hint of smoke in the background. This wine deserves a little air time - open for at least 20-30 minutes before serving. On the palate this is a dry wine with medium (-) body. Tannins are firm. Flavors of cherry, coffee, chocolate, smoke, and burnt wood dominate this slightly over-oaked wine. Pleasing, medium-long mocha and coffee finish. Perfect for BBQ season with a big juicy steak. We had it with pulled pork and it tasted yummie.

The alcohol, acidity and tannins are well balanced. It is full bodied with lots of raspberry, leather and dark chocolate flavour and has a long finish. This will pair well with grilled red meats and strong firm cheeses.

Sweet leathery vanilla cigar, complimented with vanilla, smoky black cherries and earthy cedar roasted paprika. Bright fruit on the palate echoed by the profiled smoky vanilla notes with delicious tones of plum, cherry and brown sugar. Medium plus body, tannin and acidity with a long finish ending in rich blackberry, vanilla and smoke notes that carry through. Silky and velvety smooth. A few bottles of these could easily disappear! 88 points tasted November 2016

This old vine Garnacha is made from vineyards that cling to the rugged terrain of the slopes of the Moncayo mountain. Low yields of two tons per acre concentrate the flavour of the grapes. This winery is located south of Rioja and is comprised of 100% Garnacha grapes. The Garnacha grapes for this wine grow on old vines, which provides additional concentration and flavour. This full-bodied Spanish red wine was fermented in stainless steel; half of the wine was matured in small French oak barrels, of which about 40% new, and the remaining half in stainless steel tank. - Community Wine Reviews
