Waterkloof's Circle of Life is a medium-bodied, leesy and savoury, vibrant white wine blend of 72% Sauvignon Blanc and 28% Chenin Blanc. The wine was left on the primary lees for an extended period before bottling. This helped to add more complexity and weight to the final blend.

Food pairings: fried herb-crusted and panko trout, chickpea lentil pea and potato curry, pizza with pork sausage.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Sauvignon Blanc has notes of white flowers with some underlying minerality and salinity. It is fairly lean, almost austere on the palate. The minerality extends to the medium, long finish. Overall quite pleasing if you lean toward the less herbaceous Sauvignon Blancs. Serve it with chicken or pork tenderloin. Tasted May 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Sauvignon Blanc with a component of Chenin Blanc making up 28% of the blend. Vegetal and stemmy with a little smoke. Licorice and fennel leading into very subtle apple, peach, and melon. Finishes clean with a touch of back palate bitterness. Would be nice alongside pork chops with apples or peaches worked into the dish.
A bright and well-priced Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc white wine blend with a fair amount of toasty oak on it. Smoky nose with white grapefruit, hay, fresh baked bread and zesty lemon flavours on the palate. Fermented in neutral wood. Chill and serve with grilled shellfish. Enjoy now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews
