A box office hit at the liquor store! This robust red wine at a great price offers tremendous value and bang for your buck. Attractive aromas of mint and blackberry on the nose. Juicy, full-bodied, rich and delicious on the palate. Wakefield is known for producing wines of outstanding value and quality. This is no exception. This particular vintage of this wine has been awarded several honours in the value-priced wine category for a number of international competitions. It finishes nicely with black plum, espresso and cloves.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty meat dishes, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I thought this was a gorgeous Shiraz with attractive plum colors, and aromas of spice, pepper and a hint of graphite. It was well balanced on the palate and you had that spice and berry fruit flavors. It would pair very well with beef, lamb or duck, and at a price you can afford to have it any night of the week.
Black in hue with aromas to match of dark fruit, tar and smoky oak. Dark spices on the finish. Great bang for your buck. - Community Wine Reviews
