A blockbuster BC red wine blend of estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. The wine is aged 18 months in French and American oak barrels. Aromas of dried herbs, leather, coffee and black currant. Pair with prime rib. Needs cellar time. Highly recommended.

Meritage food pairings: grilled venison, rib-eye steak, flat iron steak, other full-flavoured dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Flavourful and smooth. This is a wonderful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, aged 18 months in French and American oak. Aromas of blackberry, currant, and black cherry, with hints of dried herbs, anise and subtle, smoky oak flavours. Full bodied, smooth on the palate, with some balancing acidity, ripe, rich dark berry notes, and some herbaceous notes on the finish. Enjoy with a grilled steak.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tart and inky, this Bordeaux blend is tightly structured, balanced, and on its way to integration. Blackberry, black currant, leather, dark chocolate. Silky tannins, medium plus body, alcohol, fruit, and acidity. Pairs well with Arachera beef tacos. Tasted 2013 in Jujy 2017. 90 points
