Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful. Tart and tight. Black currant, ripe blackberry and savoury. Medium - full bodied red blend from a Niagara on the Lake legend. Paired exceptionally well with a medium-rare roast prime rib and roasted veggies. Tasted 2014 vintage in March 2017. 90 points. BespokeTastings
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Trius' Red is a Bordeaux blend from Ontario's Niagara on the Lake. Dark fruit, cedar, herbs, and underbrush on the nose and palate. Expressive, and finely textured, this is a wine made for enjoying fine meals. Think grilled hanger steak with truffle fries. Tasted March 2017. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Trius 2014 is a refined and delicious wine from the beautiful Niagara wine region. The wine exposes a bouquet of black plum, fig, black pepper, bay leaf, leather, baking spice, smoke and vanilla. Complex and structured, this Meritage blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot provides a full body, polished tannins and supple acidity. The finish lingers into notes of dried cherry, plum, tobacco leaf, bay leaf, leather, spice and cedar. Enjoy!
