Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A gorgeous Bordeaux style blend from Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Pronounced aromas of blackberry, raspberry, cherry, earthy soil, sun-dried tomatoes, and plummy leather. Flavours unfold with raspberries, red cherries, soft prunes, dried herbs and rocky minerals. medium acidity and body with velvety medium plus tannins and a rich intricate, medium plus finish. Delicate, gentle and delightfully well balanced. Try this with grilled portobello mushrooms and steak with blue cheese. 89 points - tasted May 2018
The Trinity Red Blend 2014 is actually a blend of five red wine grapes - 55% Merlot, 17% Tempranillo, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec and 7% Syrah and is produced on Trinity Hill, Hawkes Bay, North Island. The wine is lush with dark fruits, mocha, nutmeg and pepper spice. Drink now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
