Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

true to name - ample fruit with lots of smoke and toast. Easy to like, easy to love.
Toasted Head is named for the traditional practice of toasting barrel heads (tops and bottoms) not just the staves (sides) with fire, to impart a smoky character to the wines. The grapes for this wine are grown on vines planted on hillside vineyards planted in volcanic soils, impart a smoky character as does aging the wine for 18-20 months. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
