Classic Cab with a black raspberry, cassis and dried sweet tobacco aromas. A full-bodied, savoury Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot and a splash of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot added to the blend with ripe blackberry, dark plum and dried raspberry leaf flavours on the palate. Great acidity for food. Pair with gourmet burgers or hold in cellar for three years.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: prime rib, grilled pork, roast chicken.

From the Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California Silver Oak 2014 is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with a splash of Merlot added, with intense aromas of cedar brush, dried herbs and cassis. On the palate, this wine is dry, robust with fleshy ripe blackberry, plum, savoury herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are grippy. - Community Wine Reviews
