Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Ripe pineapple, orchard fruit, honeydew melon, beautifully balanced. Lovely full bodied Napa Valley Chardonnay from the Red Shoulder Ranch of Shafer Vineyards. Tasted November 2015. 92 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
The 2013 vintage of the Californian Chardonnay Red Shoulder Ranch offers both richness and freshness on the palate. Since the late 1980s, this winery has cultivated Chardonnay grapes in Napa Valley's cool climate Carneros district within the northernmost reach of San Francisco Bay. The winemaker "teamed up" with red-shouldered hawks and other birds of prey for the job of sustainable gopher control in the vineyard. - Community Wine Reviews
