Farina Montecorna Superiore 2019 Ripasso Valpolicella Classico is amazing value at $20. From the Veneto wine region, the wine is produced from 70% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 5% Molinara and is savoury and subtly smoky on the palate with dark cherry, ripe red berry, dark chocolate, savoury dried herbs creamy on the finish. Tannins are velvety.

Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore food pairings: pizza topped with steak strips and garlic, spicy sausage , prime rib roast, hearty winter stew.

Reviews and Ratings

Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This was my weekend wine pick: a lovely Ripasso Valpolicella blended with 40% Rondinella, 40% Molinara and 20% Corvina. I got aromas of leather and black cherries, with flavours of black cherries and a smoky finish. Interesting rubis/garnet colour. I paired it with an aragula and cherry tomatoes pizza. 14% alcohol. Classy label and bottle. Available at the SAQ (Code SAQ: 908269) at $19.20.
