Reviews and Ratings

Peter Wilkins rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This was my first Zinfandel years ago and I still love it. Full flavored, deep purple jam flavours goes great with red meat, especially BBQ or roasted lamb.
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Enjoyed this wine last night with Pizza and it was a great match. A beautiful fruity wine , food friendly with a hint of oak.
Malcolm Lamont - WSET Adv, CSW rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Definite jammy leaning towards candied fruit on this purple young wine. Nice full-bodied balance with a slight oak influence.
In the glass: Ravenswood zin is deep magenta with purple highlights and opaque from a half-inch from the edge of the glass.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows bright, deep red fruit. From the aroma, seems like this will be perky with full tannins.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact red currants, lightly sweet with dollops of acid and tannin. Blackberries coming through too on the simple palate and bright finish.
