A robust expression of Barossa red wine in all its glory from Peter Lehmann Wines and the Hess Family. Nice price, too. This full-bodied wonder offers toasty oak with generous fleshy blackberries, currants and plums aromas. Smooth and juicy. Previous vintages of this wine have won a Blue-Gold Medal at the Sydney International Wine Competition, which is judged with food. No wonder: it would make a great companion to hearty meat dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I have had this wine a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, and I think its one of the great values in the Liquor Store. The blend of Tempranillo, Shiraz Mourvedre and Grenache unite to bring great structure and great flavor. It's very supple with spicy notes which makes it a great pairing to go with a wide arrange of dishes, includes meats, spicy cuisine, pasta and food done on the grill. I really enjoy this wine with dinner.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The colour is a beautiful black cherry with aromas of dark plum, chocolate, and savoury black olive. The palate is a soft mouthful of forest fruits with wild bramble undertones and a fine stylish finish.

Belle couleur de cerises noires avec des arômes de prunes foncées et d’olives noires savoureuses. Le palais est doux avec une sensation en bouche de fruits de la foret avec des sous-tons de ronces sauvages et un fini stylisé fin.

This full-bodied Barossa Valley red wine is a blend of Shiraz, Tempranillo, Mourvèdre and Grenache grapes. A new label, but classis taste A journey of discovery for the senses. Shiraz provides the fruit depth and structure, Tempranillo the savoury character, Mourvèdre the wild earthy nuances, and the spiciness and supple texture of Grenache. - Community Wine Reviews
