From the Peter Lehmann group, Layers 2020 is a unique blend of Shiraz, Tempranillo, Mourvèdre and Grenache, plushy and juicy with ripe red berry jam, plum, black cherry, cinnamon and black pepper spice long and vibrant on the palate. Pour with BBQ pork ribs and well-marbled ribeye steaks from the grill. The late Peter Lehmann, a.k.a. the Baron of the Barossa, was the first Australian wine industry figure to be appointed to the Order of Australia.

Shiraz Tempranillo Mourvèdre Grenache food pairings: tourtière, roast pork, leg of lamb, bison burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Trent Mayers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An bold Australian red blend that will not win points for its complexity and finesse, but it has an astonishing intensity of dark fruit and remarkable textural characteristics. It’s actually full bodied and rich to the point of being Port like. This is a wine is big enough stand up to Mexican favourites such as Chicken Mole, which no easy feat.
