Mission Hill Family Estate Reserve 2021 Meritage is a full-bodied, sultry smooth and elegant red wine blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot sourced from vineyards on the Black Sage Bench and Osoyoos in British Columbia. Rich and concentrated with layers of ripe blackberry, black currant, dark cherry, fig and smoky spicy notes, it's really delish now but decant it for an hour or two prior to pouring it with a premium cut beef entrecĂ´te. The wine was aged in French and American oak barrels.

Meritage food pairings: grilled red meat, roast pork, hard cheeses.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
