A Grenache and Syrah rosé wine blend. Easy to enjoy this medium-bodied wine with ripe raspberry, strawberry and soft citrus flavours on the palate. "Ostal" translates to ''house'' and ''family group'' in the traditional Occitan language. Chill and enjoy with brunch fare and herbed quiches.

Food pairings: roast quail stuffed with wild mushrooms and leek, sausage and apple stuffed Cornish hen, rabbit goulash.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Grenache and Syrah rose with subtle aromas of raspberry, strawberry, and citrus. Extra dry and crisp, ideal summer sipper. Serve with appetizers or mains featuring salmon.
From the Midi wine region, L'ostal 2018 is a great-value rosé under $17 produced by the Famille J.M. Cazes. A bright and fresh rosé blend of Grenache and Syrah wine grapes with fresh raspberry, strawberry, cherry and dried herb flavours on the palate. Finishes with orange citrus flavours with good acidity for food. Pair with grilled salmon steaks. - Community Wine Reviews
