A real bunny-slipper wine: snuggly comfort for casual book club gatherings or après ski. This Shiraz was aged for 15 months in American oak and not filtered or fined, which leaves lots of robust stuffing and flavor in the bottle. Aromas of black pepper, raspberry liqueur, spice and cherry-scented leather. An unctuous texture with a long, warm finish. Pair it with good friends and boisterous conversation.

Reviews and Ratings

Deep ruby. Attractive aromas of dark berry preserves and cocoa powder, with a subtle note of white pepper adding vivacity. Juicy and straightforward on the palate, offering sweet dark berry flavors and no rough edges. This easy-to-drink wine finishes with good breadth and lingering sweetness. This year’s bottling, which is made almost entirely from Clare Valley fruit, is suppler and fruitier than the comparatively dry 2008 version. Score: 88 Source: Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
