Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Almost purple in color, this full bodied Australian Shiraz is bursting with rich flavors of mocha, blackberry, black cherry, blueberry pie, mint, black pepper and a lengthy chocolate cherry finish. Firm, well integrated tannins and nicely balanced. Ideal for richly coated BBQ ribs.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Shiraz has purple hues with aromas of dark fruit, mostly blackberry and plum. There’s also a bit of red berries, raspberries, and aromas of violet and of red licorice. On the palate, there are dark berries, mostly plums, pepper and a touch of cocoa. The tannins are medium, well integrated, and the wine has a nice acidity level.
Kilikanoon's The Lackey 2016 is a big red and robust toasty Shiraz from Australia. Well-priced below $20. This Shiraz is ripe blackberry and dark cherries on the palate with black pepper with a hint of eucalyptus on the finish - a perfect pairing with game meats or a rich roast leg of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
