Very tart, but pleasantly so with some herbal notes on the id-palate and finish. Sour cherry and cranberry with lots of acidity for roast chicken or turkey. Medium-bodied and supple Old World Cabernet Franc from the heart of the Loire Valley. The vines for this wine are planted between the plateau that rests between the Loire and Vienne Rivers, which creates a concentrated wine with terrific nuances.

Cabernet Franc food pairings: Brazilian slow-cooked pork, beef and black bean stew, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Malolactic fermentation for this French red wine took place in 3-10 year old barrels and then the wine was aged for 12 months on its fine lees, both processes contributing richness and smoothness to the wine. It was aged in the ancient caves of the Loire Valley that comprise its famous truffeau. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
