Jean-Maurice Raffault Les Picasses 2018 Chinon is a powerful and mouth-watering Old World Cabernet Franc with concentrated sour cherry, blueberry, fine dried herbs and a zesty, clean mineral finish. The Cab Franc grapes are sourced from the Les Picasses Lieu Dit with vines thriving in stony, limestone and clay soils. The wine was matured in oak barrel for 18 months on its fine lees. Tannins are rich and pleasantly chewy. Pour with a roast of pork. Drink or hold.

Food pairings: Brazilian slow-cooked pork, beef and black bean stew, roast chicken.
