From the Lodi wine region, Ironstone 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is fragrant on the nose with ripe cassis, chocolate, vanilla and spicy aromas. Look for ripe blackberry, dark plum, olive, mocha, savoury herb and toasty oak spice flavours on the palate. Drink or hold, but this wine is definitely one for steaks from the grill. The Cab Sauv. grapes are sourced from several Lodi sub-appellations, including Mokelumne River and Sloughouse. The winery practices sustainable viticultural such as cover cropping, crop reduction, leaf removal, organic materials and drip irrigation.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: roast gamebird stuffed with olives and wild mushrooms, crown roast of pork, lamb casserole.
