From Donald Hess, Hess Collection Allomi 2019 is produced from sustainably-grown grapes from the estate Allomi Vineyard and is a dry, full-bodied red blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petite Sirah, 5% Malbec, 4% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Lovely on the nose with ripe blackberry, wild lavender and savoury herbs, layered on the palate with ripe black fruits, black cherry, plum, wild herbs, chocolate, espresso and subtle oak spice flavours with a lingering dark fruit finish. One for Sunday night roast beef dinner with all the trimmings.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: gorgonzola topped sirloin, grilled veggies, herb-crusted poultry, hearty meat dishes, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

From Donald Hess, Hess Collection Allomi 2019 is produced from sustainably-grown grapes from the estate's Allomi Vineyard. Dry and full-bodied, the wine is approximately 80% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance in Petite Sirah, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Spicy on the nose with ripe blackberry, plum, blue florals, savoury herb, chocolate, toasty oak spice and savoury herb flavours layered and lingering on the palate. Pour with a prime rib roast and all the trimmings. - Community Wine Reviews
